Mission Statement:
The University City High School Alumni Association (UCHS AA) proudly supports the School District of University City and the community through advocacy, volunteerism, facilitation of communication and preservation of the spirit and traditions of University City High School.
Executive Council:
The Executive Council is the core group charged with planning and implementation of events and actions, which satisfy the mission of the UCHS AA. The Council is comprised of Officers, the Immediate Past President, the Charter President and Ex-Officio Members.
The University City High School Alumni Association (UCHS AA) Executive Council meets the second Thursday of the month beginning promptly at 6:00 p.m. in the Board Room of the Ronald E. McNair Administrative Building at 8136 Groby Road, University City, Missouri, 63130. All Alumni, Classmates and Alumni-By-Choice who are "members in good standing" are encouraged to attend.

Vice President - When President cannot attend meetings, serves in his/her stead. Convenes and chairs Committee Chairperson Replacement Committee. Participates in strategic planning. Serve as liaison to sub-committees as needed.
Corresponding/Recording Secretary – Sends out by email Council meeting notices seven (7) days prior to scheduled meeting date, with a call for agenda items and request for RSVPs. Records RSVPs to insure a quorum will be present; if 24 hours prior to the meeting there are not enough RSVPs to assure a quorum, advises President so meeting can be rescheduled. Prepares and disseminates Agenda. Records Minutes for monthly Council meetings and for Alumni Board meeting, and disseminating in draft form within fourteen (14) days of that meeting. Receives and maintains files of Committee reports. Creates, maintains and distributes Council roster. Sets up conference calls for Executive Council meetings when needed, following established procedures for the UCHS AA account with www.freeconferencecall.com.
Treasurer - Maintains bank account(s), deposits income, pays bills and prepares monthly Income/Expense Reports for Executive Council meetings. Processes all dues and other payments received via mail and PayPal on a weekly basis, passing along relevant information to those persons / committees who need these results. Deposits all checks received by mail on a bi-weekly basis, and transfers monies received via PayPal on the same schedule. Consults with committees/sub-committees on development of and/or adherence to their budgets. Maintains 501(c)(3) compliance. Completes annual tax forms and other required reports by required deadlines. Participates in decision making regarding any investment income. Is signatory on all bank accounts and has password access to PayPal account for duration of his/her term of office.
Immediate Past President:
The individual who last served a full term as President prior to the current President. Must be a Member in Good Standing in order to retain voting rights.
Charter President:
Specifically Michelle I. Gralnick. Must be a Member in Good Standing in order to retain voting rights. An automatic signatory on all bank accounts held by the UCHS AA, with access to any/all password protected accounts (including but not limited to voicemail, website, database) as well as to the UCHS AA office, wherever it may be located.
Alumni Ambassadors:
Two (2) individuals from each UCHS graduating class, who serve as the liaison to their classmates and for their class reunions. Must be a Graduate or Classmate Member in Good Standing.
Ex-Officio Members:
Ex-Officio members are voting members of the executive council. The individuals occupying these positions shall remain the same for the entire calendar year. They are:
• SDUC School Board Representative
• SDUC Staff Liaison, with CarolAnn Cole specifically requested
• UCHS Principal (or his/her designated representative
The Superintendent is always welcome to attend Council meetings as a non-voting member, as is any other District employee.
Bylaws:
The UCHS AA approved their first draft of bylaws on May 19, 2005. A copy of those bylaws in their most current (amended) version can be viewed in PDF format.
